SUMITUBE D is a lightweight, semi-rigid, heat-shrinkable polyolefin tubing which has excellent mechanical strength with good electrical properties and chemical resistance. Sumitube D meets the material and functional requirements of AMS-DTL-23053/6, Class 2 with the exception of longitudinal change. D should be considered in applications where strain relief, mechanical strength or abrasion resistance is a factor. Examples would be in protecting solder or crimped wire terminations on light wire harnesses.
